Modern Slavery Information
Modern slavery is not something confined to history, it is still happening today, and it’s happening in Lancashire. Modern slavery could be happening right in front of you – whether that’s in nail bars, car washes, rural businesses, brothels, massage parlours, or a property in your neighbourhood. In Lancashire, partners are committed to rooting out those individuals who choose to exploit others.
Lancashire Constabulary, together with Lancashire Victim Services and the Royal College of Nursing have developed a new set of materials to give an identity to the work they are doing around modern slavery. The below material gives more information on modern slavery, the signs that could indicate that someone is a victim of slavery and what to do if you suspect someone is being exploited.
