Multi-Agency Guidelines regarding Forced Marriage

On the 16 June under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 forcing someone to marry is now a criminal offence. This includes:

–        Taking someone overseas to force them to marry (whether or not the marriage takes place)

–        Marrying someone who lacks mental capacity

–        Breaching a Forced Marriage Protection Order
